Three Sisters Event

 This past weekend me and mom drove to VA for a very special trip. All three of the remaining King children were all going to be together. My mom had not seen her sister Pearl in 14 years. That is way too long. She lives in Ohio and is 92 years old. It was great to see them catch up on lots of lost time and remember things of the past and making new memories.

 They were enjoying their dessert after a fabulous meal of chicken n' dumplings, meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, corn on cob, green beans, bean salad, fresh tomatoes & cucumbers, homemade sourdough bread and many desserts.

My Aunt Ruby makes the best chicken n' dumplings you ever tasted. She even gave me the first bowl full, because she knows how much I love them.Peggy and Pearl brought fresh corn on cob from Ohio.

I am so thankful we were able to make this trip and let the sisters all get together. You never know when your last time to be together will be. They had 3 other brothers and another sister that has passed on, but great memories of them were all talked about while we were there. Hopefully we can do this again soon.
