We left Burlington, VT around 8:00 a.m. We drove straight across all 3 states. I really didn't think I would have much to post as far as pics today, but I had no idea how pretty the country was up here. We stayed on back roads the whole way. It was only 38 when we left this morning, so needless to say the top was not down on the pony. By around noon we were able to drop the top, still a little cool, but it was such a beautiful sunny day I just couldn't leave it up. As it worked out on our route, we went through the capitol cities of all 3 states. Again, I just can't get over how many lakes are up here. Seems like you are passing one every few miles. The next couple of days are suppose to be rainy, but we have things picked out to do, so it won't matter. Hope you are enjoying the blog.
Vermont farm and mountains.
Sure wish we could have stopped in here for a tour but we were 2 hrs early.
Just thought this was a pretty shot of the mountains in New Hampshire.
A moose on the side of the road we saw. A lady at the visitors center said people lived up here for 40 yrs and never had seen one. That we were lucky. Buddy spotted it.
Snow still on the mountains in New Hampshire.
View from our room.
This is a little diner & ice cream shop that is owned by some friends of Dave & Roma Wharton. It is in Searsport, Maine. The store is and old train depot that they moved and restored.
Lobster rolls and fish stew we are about to consume.
Buddy enjoying his lobster roll. He is just rubbing this in for Roma. Since these are her friends and she hasn't been here.
Fort Point Lighthouse.
Mr. Lobster waiting to be picked.
Check him out.
