We had Nolen's birthday dinner at our house last week. He wanted Mexican. We had tacos, soups and white cheese dip. His favorite.
Somehow the kids have made the move to the big table and most of the adults were in the kitchen.
Nolen is not much of a cake eater, and so his request was for me to make Monkey Bread for his dessert.
Last weekend for his birthday with the rest of the family was at Los Compadres. Can you tell he loves Mexican food. We all went there to eat and then came to his house for desserts. Once again his request for his mom to make him Monkey Bread instead of cake. They also had lots of other desserts.
Growing up too quick
Candles all blown out
Nolen is going to redo his room after Christmas and he requested old vintage cars and things that would go in his room that would fit his theme.
The car in this pic was one that belonged to my dad. He kept it on his desk at his work for as long as I can remember. After retiring he had given it to Craig at some point. I found it up in Craig's room and knew it was only fitting that Nolen should have it. It is actually an AM Radio. I know my dad would be proud to know that Nolen has it and will take really good care of it.
