West Coast Trip - Day 6

What a beautiful day it was today. We started out by going to Cape Blanco Light. The top pic was closer up and the lower pic is showing how it sits out on a cliff. That is why the light houses don't have to be so tall out here.
Next we saw this old house that was built in 1898. It was a 11 room home.

Pretty wild flowers along the way

This was Humbug Mountain. It is the highest peak on the Oregon Coast.

At some places there are rocky shorelines and then you get...
 sandy shorelines

 Cool looking Arch Rock
We crossed this bridge, but you couldn't get a good picture of it because of the steep drop off.
This picture don't even begin to come close to show how far down it was to the ocean.
 Best pic we could get

 Port of Brookings Light
It is now privately owned and they have made it into quite a house.

This is what they now use to navigate by.
Our stopping point today was in Crescent City, California. This lighthouse is just across from where we are staying. Since it was high tide this afternoon we couldn't walk over to it. Maybe in the morning.

This is the lighthouse from our balcony at sunset.

 We had an amazing sunset.

 Lighthouse at night
Great looking moon tonight too. Tomorrow our ventures will be to head into the Redwood Forest, to look at the giant trees.
