Fall Trip Day 5

It was a beautiful morning. This is looking out from our deck. Yes, I know my kids will be amazed that we actually took a pic of ourselves. I hate having my picture taken.
Bailey Harbor Range Light

Bailey Harbor Range Keepers house

The range ligh was probably 200 yds from the house
Cana Island Lighthouse

Looking out the port hole about half way up the lighthouse
This is the Fresnel lens that (now days) only a small light about the size of a AA battery will light it and you can see it from 17 miles out. Before, the lighthouse keeper had to make 97 steps up and manually light it every 2 hours.
From the top looking down
the winding stairs
This is Al Johnson's Restaurant (famous for the goat's on the roof) It is a Swedish Restaurant with a sodded roof. They bring the goats every day from 8:00 until 5:00.

Okay, if our punishment wasn't enough for our bummed knees climbing the lighthouse, we decided to climb this tower with 109 steps. Well worth it.
Eagle Bluff Lighthouse

Back home, you have seen the view to the water, we are on the top floor with the wrap around deck.

This is just below our room.
