Day 10 Part II of Maine Coast & starting home

This is part two of yesterday. The pictures all explain where we went. It was pretty cool to see the Bush Compound at Kennebunkport. It was rainy but by the afternoon when we stopped it had quit raining. I was so happy to be able to get a place to stay right on the beach. We sat out on the rocks and watched the tide go out and those crazy cold weather surfers. These small towns along the coast are all through Maine. No big restaurants, hotels or amusement parks that you see in Florida. I just can't wait until we come back again. Today was major driving, but it was worth it to have been able to stay where we did last night. We were in 8 different states today, if you can believe it. Maine, Mass., Conn., New York, Penn., Maryland, W. Virginia & Virginia. We will leave here in the morning and drive to Wytheville, VA and meet up with our friends, Debbie & Keith, Susie & Doug to eat lunch and then head home.
President Bush's weekend get-a-way at Kennebunkport, Maine.
Goat Island Lighthouse.
Buddy's lunch. Mr. Lobster you better watch out.
OUCH!!!!!!!!!
May he R.I.P.
My dessert.
Nubble Lighthouse.

This basket is how the keeper's of the light would get supplies from the mainland to the island. Also was used to send the kids over to go to school.
This is where we landed for the night.
Nubble Light from our room.
Surf on the rocks.
Boon Lighthouse.
Crazy surfers in 50 degree weather.
My dinner, clam strip roll with pasta salad.
Nubble Light at night.
Before leaving this morning I told Rosie (Our GPS) to "Go Home"
Long way to go in 2 days. 1,146 miles to home. Logged 2,108 so far.
This was taken from where we stopped to have lunch today on the Hudson River.
This is what Rosie told us when we stopped tonight. Still 593 miles to go and we have logged 2,695 miles.
